Saudi Arabia Sightseeing Highlights

Your Saudi Arabia sightseeing adventure begins in Al Khobar, where you’ll spend the night at a comfortable hotel. On Day 2, your Saudi Arabia sightseeing kicks off with a tour of Al Khobar, transformed in 2018 by young Saudi artists into a vibrant graffiti canvas. Visit Alfan Sharqi exhibit which features colorful murals and abstract designs. Next, you’ll head to Al Hofuf City to explore Ibrahim Palace, the Al Qubba mosque, and the House of Allegiance. A short drive takes you to Jawatha Mosque, believed to be the first mosque in eastern Arabia. At Al Qarah Mountain, you’ll marvel at limestone cliffs and explore caves. Your day concludes at Souq Al Qaisariyah, a historic market, similar to the souks of Marrakesh, where you can shop for unique items. After an overnight stay in Al Hofuf, you’ll return to Al Khobar for departure on Day 3.

Tour Itinerary

  • Arrival in Al Khobar Airport.
  • Your driver will greet you and take you form the airport to your hotel in no time.
  • If you arrive early at Al Khobar you can walk around the city and explore the markets, parks, shopping malls and attractions by yourself and have an immersive first hand experience of the local people and culture.
  • Overnight at an Al Khobar hotel.

  • Enjoy your delicious breakfast in the hotel.
  • You will begin your Saudi Arabia sightseeing with a tour of Al Khobar. This historic district underwent a transformation in 2018 when a group of young Saudi artists turned its streets into a massive canvas filled with vibrant graffiti. Sponsored by Princess Abeer bint Faisal Al Saud and organized by Dawi Gallery, the Alfan Sharqi (Art is Eastern) graffiti exhibit features six traditional houses adorned with colorful murals, vivid calligraphy, and abstract designs. These walls serve as a reminder that groundbreaking and transformative art can be found in the most unexpected locations.
  • Next to Al Hofuf City.
  • Constructed during the first Saudi state, Ibrahim Palace is an architectural masterpiece. Combining both traditional Arabic and military designs. Wander in to explore the Al Qubba mosque, which is still in use today.
  • The House of Allegiance represents the seat of residence and the place where the pledge allegiance to King Abdul Aziz Al Saud happened.
  • 12 km northeast of Hofuf, where we stop to enjoy Jawatha Mosque, it is believed to have been the first mosque in eastern Arabia. It’s also where the second Friday congregation prayer was held.
  • Al Qarah Mountain. The cliff is formed by limestone, which gives it a distinct off-white hue, and a honeycomb of caves, nooks and passageways weave through the rocks, waiting to be explored.
  • Shop the stalls at Souq Al Qaisariyah, the most historical markets in the kingdom. With a maze of more than 7,000 square meters of shops to explore, visitors can bargain for everything from handmade leather sandals to abayas to vials of rosewater, vintage gramophones, and antique daggers.
  • Saudi Arabia sightseeing ends here.
  • Overnight at Al Hofuf hotel.

  • Transfer to Al Khobar for departure.
