This Tabuk nature tour Saudi Arabia begins with an immersive journey into the heart of history and nature, combining Tabuk desert landscapes with powerful spiritual narratives as part of unforgettable northern Saudi Arabia excursions. Our first stop is the Land of Midian, a cornerstone of Midian and Maqna exploration and one of the most significant chapters in religious history. Dating back to the late second millennium BC, Midian is where Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, sought refuge after fleeing Egypt, lived for ten years, and prepared for his divine mission, making it one of the most meaningful historic natural sites Tabuk.
We continue our visit to Moses’ Well, the place where Moses met his future wife Zipporah, and defended the flock of Prophet Shu’ayb. This stop reflects the harmony between faith, ethics, and the surrounding desert and biblical landscapes, offering a true nature-focused Saudi travel experience.
Next we arrive at Maqna, a charming coastal city on the Gulf of Aqaba, and a highlight of scenic and cultural exploration in the region. Known as the Twelve Springs of Moses, Maqna is a living example of the natural wonders Saudi Arabia, where freshwater springs and palm groves have sustained life for centuries.
Then we visit Wadi Musa, one of the most wonderful natural wonders in the Tabuk region, which captivates with its unique beauty and distinctive location on the Gulf of Aqaba, just 20 kilometers north of Maqna, giving the visitor an unforgettable spiritual and natural experience.

Day two focuses on deeper exploration of the region’s dramatic terrain, making this journey a true 2-day Saudi nature getaway designed for travelers seeking both meaning and adventure.
We begin with one of the most mysterious and fascinating sites, the split rock at Horeb. Many followers of different religions believe it to be the rock that the Prophet Moses struck with his staff, causing water to gush forth to quench the thirst of the Israelites. The surrounding formations highlight the raw beauty of Tabuk desert landscapes, where geology and belief intersect.
We continue our journey with a thrilling Jabal al-lawz adventure, ascending the highest mountain in Tabuk at 2,549 meters above sea level. It is the only place in Saudi Arabia that experiences snowfall almost annually, a natural surprise that contradicts the stereotypical image of the desert.
Through a stunning desert route, we continue our journey through breathtaking scenery to the site of the Golden Calf and Moses’ Altar, where religious narratives tell the story of the Israelites during Moses’ forty-day absence on Mount Sinai, and the construction of the Golden Calf with twelve pillars representing the tribes of Israel.
Then we visit the cave of the Prophet Elijah, located at a height of approximately 300 meters above the site of Moses, and above it is a sub-peak of Mount Sinai topped by two rectangular rocks called the Tablets of the Commandments, in a symbolic and moving scene that combines nature and faith. Choose Trip500 and go We did a personally designed package for 9 days in Jordan with a driver but no guide (except for Petra). Mohannad worked very hard with us to plan a trip that suited our needs. The tour was excellent from the time we were picked up from the airport in Amman to when we were dropped off at Aqaba Airport.Our driver was very competent and always cracking jokes.
